What happens in a treatment?
The client, fully clothes, sits in a massage chair for the treatment. In addition, the therapist will also gently stimulate and stroke pressure points on the face. Most therapists like their clients to sit quietly for ten minutes once the massage has been completed.
What is an Indian Head Massage?
Indian Head Massage is based on the Ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. It is believed that three of the major energy centres of the human body can be found in and around the head. Acting on a physical, mental and subtle level, Indian Head Massage stimulates these important energy centres, so helping to maintain the important balance of energy within the body.
As well as being a relaxing encounter, it can also be an invigorating and refreshing experience. The recipient of the treatment will often report a ‘balanced’ feeling of peace and calm, and will usually feel more alert and revitalised.
